educatie is an important part of onze werken. We are convinced that it is the cornerstone of environmental protection en positive change. That's why we were delighted naar launch an educational outreach at POLIGENIUS Primary School in Ulm, where over 160 eager students awaited us met open minds en curiosity about the oceans en their inhabitants.
Led by onze dedicated team members Vinh, Leonie en Annika, onze day at POLIGENIUS began met a warm welcome en an introduction naar MBRC's mission. As we stood before the enthusiastic faces of the students, excitement was in the air, setting the stage voor an enlightening journey.
Onze educational journey took us deep into the pressing issue of plasticvervuiling in onze oceans. Through captivating visuals en interactive discussions, we sought naar shed light on how plastic is invading the mariene omgeving en devastating sea life.
But learning doesn't have naar be ordinary. To really engage onze young audience, we incorporated playful en interactive elements into the curriculum. These are the oceaan Stations - four experiential stations designed naar spark curiosity en encourage hands-on learning:
1. Exploring microplastics: Students delved into the world of microplastics via hands-on sifting activities naar discover the invisible threat lurking in onze oceans.
2. oceaan-themed coloring: Students' creativity blossomed as they expressed their love voor the oceaan via colorful artwork, strengthening their connection naar the marine ecosystem.
3. Tips voor eco-friendly living: Exciting discussions en practical tips provided students met the knowledge on how naar reduce plastic consumption in their daily lives en turned them into eco-conscious consumers.
4.#KickouttheplasticChallenge: The highlight of the day was the students kicking away PET bottles met a ball, symbolizing their collective commitment naar ridding onze oceans of plastic afval.
